Loot… oh goodie!

I’d convinced (well actually bribed/cajoled and otherwise begged)  Wouter to give me an early birthday present, a ticket to the Cape Town Scrapbook Convention being held at Spier…. {way early if you consider my birthday is only in August, but be that as it may} . Registration was at 7:00 so I was up really early to get there in time, made it with a minute to spare, not bad considering it was dark the whole way and I managed to take a small wrong turn round the circle in Muizenberg. (It takes a certain talent to be completely directionless).  The convention was great, we had international celebrities, very generous sponsored gifts and giveaways, as well as excellent food provided by Spier.

The opening of the convention by Louise Eichner  Louise Eichner opened the convention and we were soon stuck into making cards, getting to grips with acrylic stamps as well as creating beautiful scrapbook pages.  Was enormous fun :)

Adrienne and Amy Kennedy  Amy and Adrienne Kennedy a mother and daughter team who create the most wonderful acrylic stamps and started the company My Sentiments Exactly in America in 2000 showed us how quick and easy it is to make unique hand made cards in a matter of minutes.  Adrienne promised to post on her blog a short clip of all of us hard at work.

We also had classes by Heidi Swapp (very well known in the industry) as well as a colleague of hers, Janet Hopkins.

Of course I had to sort out my loot when I got home!
