Once upon a time there was a library filled with interesting manuscripts, tomes and epitomes. The King of the land deemed it necessary to equip the library with safety measures to protect the valuable information housed within it. One such safety measure was an alarm linked up to a canister of lethal gas – designed to quell the mightiest enemy of any library…. fire.
On a sunny day in November the beautiful and charming head librarian arrived at work to notice an unusual sound emanating from her library. Immediately she realised (by a swift and intelligent deduction on her part) the gas alarm had been triggered. Risking instant death she dashed into the library scouted around for fire and tried to deactivate the alarm. Dashing out again to breathe clean air she realised the alarm wasn’t giving in.
Not defeated yet our intrepid heroine went to the security under advisor to the King and reported the situation. Troops were immediately deployed to locate the problem…. well that was the idea, it wasn’t till many hours later that the troops found their way to the library.
In the meantime our heroine stationed herself outside her library ostensibly to keep an eye on things. She soon realised the peasants in the village are a dim lot as she had to save a number of them from imminent death.
(it would appear a huge yellow warning sign and alarm bells going off are not good enough)
