They’re slowly killing me

We’ve had Phoebe and Misty nearly a week now and I’m starting to slowly resemble a victim of some macabre slasher movie. I am literally covered from head to foot in scratches because they both firmly believe I’m a cross between a tree and a scratching post. They figure the easiest way to get up higher is to launch themselves at me all claws extended and then quickly climb, one painful claw after the other. Legs, arms, even my back is fair game. It’s no wonder I look like this most days – and they’re quite happily passed out.

We’re trying to slowly introduce them to Gymmie hasn’t been a huge success so far – he’s not terribly impressed with them and I suspect he’s more scared of them than they are of him. Although he looks like he’d like to eat them if he could get at them in this picture.

Going outside didn’t prove to be any problem either – plucky little things these two – especially Misty considering how young she is.

Of course the fun really is indoors especially when you discover that by climbing up the mattress. which some idiot had thought would be safe up against the cupboard door, means you’re able to get inside the top cupboard.

Moments like these nearly give me a heart attack (especially as I’m trying to take the picture and be ready to catch if one should fall)

Does mean one gets shots like this – gotta love photos.

Course all of that, plus the clawing their way up me over, and over again makes for two very tired kitties and being the nerd I am – couldn’t resist being a little inventive with my photography.

Before you think Wouter is left out of things – he’s also a tree only less exciting as me.

Who couldn’t love these two?
